What You?ll Do

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will be the expert in effective and efficient production operations of the Caps and Delay components departments. You will be part of a dynamic team who provides the highest standard of deliverables to our customers.

Other duties will include:

  • Supports BEx initiatives and ensures participation from all areas of responsibility.
  • Responsible for departmental modifications and improvement projects including design, equipment and material specifications through all stages of the CAPEX process.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve existing departmental process problems for the Caps and Delay departments.? ?Assist with new equipment/process start-ups.
  • Solves problems relating to improvement of operating efficiencies, production capacities, and product quality by facilitating Root Cause Analyses.
  • Controls departmental expenditures and assets to achieve financial targets.
  • Assist area manager with the preparation of the departmental budget.
  • Provides necessary cost estimates and justification for projects.
  • Align manufacturing strategies such as cost reductions, productivity improvements, organizational development and safety performance to meet corporate business strategies.
  • Participate in Incident Investigations, Regulatory inspections, and Audits and works to close all related action items.
  • Mentors plant electricians in troubleshooting PLC based issues in responsible departments.
  • Responsible for coordinating and leading daily manufacturing teams which includes but is not limited to hiring, firing and safety performance directly impacting people, processes and all components of manufacturing.

What We?re Looking For

Education

  • Bachelor?s Degree or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline required.? Significant experience supervising in a manufacturing environment may be substituted for degree.?

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of related technical experience.
  • 4-6 years in a supervisory role or similar capacity.
  • Background in Chemistry would prove beneficial.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Complete understanding of the Safety, Quality, Capacity and Continuous Improvement aspects of all processes within assigned departments.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to troubleshoot issues in all of the various processes associated within assigned department.? Troubleshooting shall include knowledge of controls system design and the ability to remain current with changing trends in control or component technology due to PLC-based nature of departmental equipment.
  • Firm understanding of PLC Technology.
  • Firm understanding of Operator Interface Terminals & Controls.
  • Thorough understanding of electrical, control panel and interconnecting wiring schematics.
  • Ability to provide direction and coaching to others in an effective leadership manner.
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
