Our organization is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Test Engineer to join our innovative Engineering team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in mechanical engineering with electronics and instrumentaion, particularly in the area of explosive materials and ordnance.
As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting a variety of tests including climatic testing, thermal cycling, dynamic testing, sine vibration, and shock.
You will also be proficient in the use of tools such as Oscilloscopes, Accelerometers, and Pressure Transducers.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role and hold a BS Engineering Degree.
Responsibilities:
1.
Design, develop and implement testing methods and equipment.
2.
Conduct and supervise thermal cycling, climatic testing, dynamic testing, sine vibration, and shock tests on various components and systems.
3.
Analyze and interpret test data, prepare technical reports, and provide feedback to the design and production teams.
4.
Work closely with the production team to understand product design and necessary testing parameters.
5.
Ensure all testing procedures comply with safety regulations, particularly when dealing with explosive materials and ordnance.
6.
Utilize tools such as Oscilloscopes, Accelerometers, and Pressure Transducers for testing and data collection.
7.
Participate in design reviews and provide input on design aspects to improve reliability and testability.
8.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the testing process.
Qualifications:
1.
BS Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Test Engineer or in a similar role.
3.
Proven experience in conducting climatic testing, thermal cycling, dynamic testing, sine vibration, and shock.
4.
Expertise in handling and testing explosive materials and ordnance.
5.
Proficiency in using Oscilloscopes, Accelerometers, and Pressure Transducers.
6.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
7.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
8.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
9.
Solid problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
10.
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures when dealing with explosive materials and ordnance.
11.
Strong team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
